While my faith has evolved and my beliefs expanded beyond my religious upbringing, there was much beauty and wisdom gained from this chapter in my spiritual journey. Seeking Grace was a journey in coming Home and discovering Love--first God's, then others' and finally my own.
I had so much to learn; edges to refine. I had hurts to heal, trauma to face and much of life to discover. I had trust to earn and be earned in return, also faith to walk out. I hadn't found my voice yet. I was still discovering it.
This book is my return to the messy middle. And let me tell ya, it's a roller coaster. You hold the story of many miracles, including the day I met Jesus at the beach. My battles with perfectionism, anxiety and the bathroom mirror. How I surrendered control in my career and the aftermath of a rocky marriage season. Not to mention my beautiful, yet blue, entrance to motherhood.
Each section has a theme, each story, a focused bite-size reflection from a decades' worth of lessons and memories. Small enough to make time; big on depth and meaning.

I created Be My Own Wedding Planner, to provide couples and wedding professionals alike the same tools and templates I used when working with clients to plan the wedding of their dreams.
For years I had been carefully creating tools and templates for my use as a professional wedding planner. Along the way, I began developing resources for brides to use themselves, recognizing that not everyone has the luxury of working with a coordinator. Further still, as my business and experience progressed I found myself mentoring and coaching other wedding professionals in their own businesses through marketing and branding advice, establishing client trust and creating professional systems that would allow them to work more efficiently and effectively.
Be My Own Wedding Planner is different from a manual or a storybook. This interactive handbook includes hands-on templates, real life advice and practical food-for-thought to equip and empower you to take control of your wedding planning in a way that allows your focus to remain steadfast on the things that matter, rather than the stress that can stifle progress and steal joy.
