Moonbow Blessings

A New Year Blessing

A rare and quiet phenomenon meets us at the threshold, crossing over into a new year.

She sees it first, mere steps from the door.

“Mom, look!”

Its arc is so obvious—a perfect circle, haloed around the moon. I hold up my camera to catch its mystical rays, and the light comes close. Two shooting swords from the center, and a third, randomly, off to the side. Was this symbolic of us? Me, her, and him?

Moonbows hold the significance of hidden grace and blessing—support that exists when things seem dim or unresolved. They suggest healing and integration happening below the surface, and they often appear during seasons of rest, grief, or liminal in-betweens.

Many mystic traditions know the moon as a symbol of feminine knowing: intuitive wisdom that feels truth without needing explanation. Its arrival now, as a bow—a moonbow—brings hope amidst uncertainty.

Things are still unfolding.

The end has not yet completed.

The start has not yet arrived.

And yet, we are not who we once were, and not yet who we are becoming.

The moonbow’s message arrives with quiet clarity the next morning.

2026 will be a year of attunement—of slow and soft allowing, of letting beauty reveal itself. Coherence, protection, and meaning are at work, though they may not yet be visible by day. Our path is unfolding. What is stepping forward now is supported by seen and unseen forces, and they no longer need my hypervigilance.

I won’t miss anything. I don’t need to know or understand everything in the moment.

Seeing, being, and believing is enough. I can trust.

Something has already shifted, even as my life catches up.

Together, we will walk side by side into what comes next.

Not ahead.

Not behind.

Evolution is upon us all.
