Practicing Presence

The goal of spirituality

is not to escape life

but to learn to be present with it!

to consciously choose it

and receive it

with an open heart.



The journey is long

and the days are short

so let things be SIMPLE

and EASY where you can!



For a recovering nervous system,

this is a miracle in the making…



you can literally feel

your body and inner child sigh

with deep relief.



Even small shifts

make lasting impact

that paves The Way

for transformation.

It took me years to slow down

and allow myself to simply BE,

rather than always doing….

I began with five minutes per day,

simply sitting

observing my surroundings



My aim

was to allow

everything

to belong



no judging

fixing or

analyzing…



Instead,

I practiced PRESENCE



being WITH my surroundings

rather than trying to control them.



I watched my thoughts

like flowers floating down a river .....



no need to grab onto them

nor form an opinion about each one



simply notice

and let them pass.



When the five minutes became easy

I upped it

until eventually



I could sit for

sixty minutes

then ninety

and finally one hundred and eighty.



These humble beginnings

taught me much:


… Non attachment
… transcending duality
… cultivating the witness



Big concepts

now rooted

in simple foundations.

There is much SO MUCH goodness coming down the line!

Whether its reconnecting

with your Higher Self or The Divine….



finding a safe space to heal,

receive peace and find freedom…



or strengthening your foundations

and presence through breath…
